American Currency Design: A project during Professor Key’s ARTT498 Advanced Graphic Design course at UMDCP.

Official Brief:Design a new set of bank notes for the United States of America. You will submit seven different notes—$1, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100, $1000—and a poster advertising your new currency design. Take inspiration from local landmarks, buildings, and people. The designs need to be modern and appeal to a wide range of different people. They need to be recognizable and personal.

Target Audience: The Treasury of the United States of America.

Theme: Various colored vertical bank notes with a set width of 2.6 inches and different heights per banknote for more effective and faster counting, and featuring underrepresented women in American history.

Banknote Heights: 4.5 inches ($1), 5 inches ($5), 5.5 inches ($10), 6 inches ($20), 6.5 inches ($50), 7 inches ($100), and 7.5 inches ($1000).
